Minor Steps Toward Major Careers

If you are interested in a minor, schedule a meeting with your academic adviser to discuss the minor, and its requirements. For questions about the minor, contact DeAnn Pitman.

The Department of Kinesiology offers four outstanding undergraduate minors:

• Dance
• Exercise science
• Health promotion
• Kinesiology

General Requirements

All minors have the following requirements:

• A minimum of 15 credits, including at least 6 from Iowa State University, in courses numbered 300 or above.
• The minor must include at least 9 credits that are not used to meet any other college or university requirements.
• The same courses may not be applied to two different minors.

Prerequisites: You must complete prerequisite requirements for courses included in the minor.
