Dance Groups

Numerous performing and choreographing opportunities are provided through Iowa State’s seven dance groups:

• Ballroom Dance Club
• Cardinal Swing Society
• Cardinal Tap Club
• Descarga Latin Dance
• Orchesis I Dance Company
• Orchesis II Dance Club
• The Forum Dance Studio

Because much of the dance activity at Iowa State is organized through these groups, you’ll have tremendous creative input in shaping your own movement experiences.

Our groups provide a strong sense of teamwork and community, which balances the sometimes impersonal atmosphere of a large university. We promote interest and activity in dance as a creative art form, and as a member, you’ll be involved in all aspects of production including:
